Creator Payout Policy

How payouts work
Customer purchases are currently processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record for buyer transactions. Lemon Squeezy may handle checkout, payment processing, receipts, payment-related taxes, refunds, chargebacks, and payment support in accordance with its own terms and checkout flow.
After CosBuild receives applicable proceeds from Lemon Squeezy, CosBuild calculates and pays creators a contractual revenue share manually each month by PayPal, Wise, or bank transfer.
Payouts are generally made in US dollars, net of any currency-conversion, PayPal, Wise, intermediary bank, or transfer fees unless CosBuild states otherwise.
Your revenue share
You earn a percentage of each eligible net sale. The default creator share is 70%, unless CosBuild agrees a different creator share with you, such as a founding creator share.
Your percentage is recorded at the moment of each sale, so changing it later does not affect sales that already happened unless CosBuild and you agree otherwise.
Eligible net sales
Your earnings are based on eligible net sales actually received and kept by CosBuild for your tutorials.
Eligible net sales may be reduced by:
- refunds;
- chargebacks;
- payment reversals;
- failed or fraudulent payments;
- Lemon Squeezy/payment-provider fees or adjustments;
- taxes or amounts withheld by the merchant of record;
- currency conversion or transfer fees;
- reserves;
- corrections, disputes, or similar adjustments.
A refunded or charged-back sale does not count toward creator earnings and may be excluded or deducted.
When you get paid
Payouts are calculated per calendar month and normally paid by the 15th of the following month, provided you have at least USD 25 in payable earnings and valid payout details on file.
If your payable balance is below USD 25, it rolls forward to a later month unless CosBuild decides to pay it earlier.
If a refund, chargeback, reversal, dispute, or correction happens after a payout has already been calculated or paid, CosBuild may deduct the relevant amount from future payouts or request repayment.
Reserves and holds
CosBuild may temporarily hold a reasonable reserve or delay payout where refund, chargeback, fraud, legal, tax, payment-provider, banking, or payout risk is elevated.
CosBuild may also delay payouts if your payout details are incomplete, inaccurate, suspicious, or require additional review.
Your payout details
You must provide your legal name, country, payout method, and payout account details in your creator profile before you can receive payouts. CosBuild may also ask for additional information if required for payment, tax, banking, compliance, fraud-prevention, or legal reasons.
You are responsible for keeping your payout details accurate. Failed payouts caused by incorrect details may be delayed, reversed, reduced by fees, or retried after correction.
Creator dashboard and payout records
CosBuild may show sales, refunds, payout status, and earnings information in your creator dashboard. The dashboard and CosBuild’s internal records are used to calculate creator payouts.
CosBuild may provide monthly statements or downloadable payout records later, but formal invoices are not required for MVP unless CosBuild asks for them or applicable law requires them.
Taxes
You are responsible for any income, self-employment, business, VAT/GST, or other taxes you owe on creator earnings.
CosBuild may deduct, withhold, report, or request tax information if required by applicable law, a payment provider, a bank, or tax authority.
Changes
CosBuild may update this Creator Payout Policy. Material changes will be shown by a new version or date.
